Eco-Photo Tours, Weekends & Excursions

Upcoming events are open to all levels of photo enthusiasts from beginner to advanced amateur, 12 years and older who are physically capable. All types of camera equipment are welcome. Choose from one-day excursions, two-day weekends or an multiple-day eco-photo tour.

Leelanau White Eco-Photo Weekend

SLEEPING BEAR DUNES & THE LEELANAU PENINSULA, GLEN ARBOR, MI – Don’t miss the photographic wonder of winter at Sleeping Bear Dunes and the beautiful Leelanau Peninsula. Venture outdoors with like-minded nature photographers to capture Northern Michigan’s scenic beauty. Enjoy two full days in Michigan’s National Park at a often-missed time of year. Photograph snow-covered dunes that sparkle in the sunlight, scenic barns, forest overlooks, frozen ponds and streams. Explore the natural wonder of Sleeping Bear Dunes covered in a blanket of snow and historic landmarks, picturesque farmsteads, open fields and the rolling landscape of Leelanau County. Capture closeups, telephoto shots and wide vistas with your own camera.

Join naturalist photographer, Mark S. Carlson and digital photography expert, Bob Grzesiak on this special weekend that combines informative group instruction in the field.  Whether a beginner or advanced amateur, enjoy capturing fascinating close-ups to dramatic landscapes as you journey through delicate ecosystems. Learn about your own camera while taking photography to the next level.

Itinerary

9 am to 4 pm daily 9am - Camera setting & group instruction
10am - On-location photography session
12pm - Lunch, inside in meeting room at The Homestead  (bring sack lunch)
1pm - On-location photography session
4pm - Close

Event Registration

Early Bird Registration $249 (by 2/7/15) Save $50!; Regular Registration: $299 (by 2/14/15).

Both days of the Leelanau White Eco-Photo Weekend also available as individual one-day eco-photo excursions for only $149 per person. Register for either the Winter Dunes Eco-Photo Excursion or the Pastoral Peninsula Eco-Photo Excursion.

Non-refundable $50 deposit included in registration. Remaining balance refunded if cancellation received seven days prior to event. Registration fully transferable to another event. In case of rain or snow, the event will take place. If dangerous weather is present we will offer a rain check to apply to future a future event. Registration processed by MyNorthTickets.com. Excursion details provided via email after registration.
