Fringed Polygala Plant

Rocky shorelines come to life with young leaves of birch and aspen tucked between the evergreens. Bald Eagles, osprey, hawks, loons and warblers are just some of the avian species common to the island in spring. Trillium, paintbrushes, columbine, dwarf lake Iris, yellow lady’s-slippers and calypso orchids are some of the enchanting wildflower species that brighten up the rocky, woodland terrain. All photographers are welcome from digital ‘snap-shooter’ to advanced amateur.
